April/May Christian Learning Series: Conversion and the Christian Faith
Since St. Paul was blinded by the light of the Risen Christ on the road to Damascus, conversion has been one of the central experiences of the Christian faith. Nevertheless, how and why people convert to Christianity has varied remarkably throughout history. Even today, what Christians mean when they speak of "conversion" continues to change. Some Christians place high priority on conversion stories and experiences, while others question or reject the relevance of the term for contemporary faith. No matter where you find yourself on this spectrum, please join us and ponder the meaning of conversion in your own life. Together, we will explore six distinctive perspectives on the process of conversion and what it means to claim Christian faith.

Andrew's is an Episcopal Church where Christians come together to share
a rich heritage of worship, to learn and teach the Word of God, to grow
in faith, and to love and serve others. It is a community of men, women
and children who seek to follow Christ in all that they are and all
that they do.
Primary Mission Goals:
- To provide a range of worship opportunities
sufficient to meet the changing spiritual needs of the community
- To provide spiritual and pastoral support
to nurture parishioners in all stages of life
- To promote educational programs that
strengthen people of all ages in their understanding of faith
- To enable as many parishioners as possible
to participate in outreach programs that help people in the greater
community
Special Goals: Exploring Our Covenant:
- Ministry for and with youth and children
- Community-building within our parish
- Outreach to the wider community
- Adult Formation for faith and ministry
in the world
The 1,800 members of St. Andrew's Church
are residents of Wellesley, Natick, Dover, Sherborn, Needham, and
other surrounding communities. Our parish is part of the Diocese
of Massachusetts comprising about 200 congregations covering the
eastern one-third of the state. The Right Reverend M. Thomas Shaw
and the Right Reverend Bud Cederholm and the Right Reverend Gayle
Harris are our bishops. Our diocese is one of 117 in the Episcopal
Church, which is one of 38 provinces in the 70 million member Anglican
Communion worldwide.
From Sunday morning to Saturday afternoon, God's work is being done
in this exciting faith community. Whatever your interests, abilities,
needs, or energy level, there is a place at St. Andrew's to use your
God-given gifts. To learn more about any aspect of parish life, please
contact a member of the clergy, staff, vestry, or committees.
