The St.
Andrew’s Performing Arts Series
(SAPAS) is the outgrowth of a series of
community concerts hosted by St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
Jonathan English began the venture in the fall of 2002 with
a pair of vocal duet and quartet evenings. A full concert
season of seven performances was presented in 2003-2004.
In the spring of 2004 Patricia Griffin assumed the role of
Artistic Director.
The 2007-08 series includes: OLMSTED ENSEMBLE, FLAMENCO
AND CLASSICAL GUITARS, an evening with JOHANNES BRAHMS, BRIAN
JONES, Organ Recital, BEACON BRASS QUINTET, and 3RD ANNUAL
ONLY A CAPPELLA.
We are continually grateful to the WELLESLEY
SOCIETY OF ARTISTS for encouraging its
members to exhibit their works in conjunction with our concerts.
This year's presenters: NAN RUMPF,
GREGORY DOLNIKOWSKI, PAULA DEMARCO, EVELYN BERNAL, YALE NICOLLS,
and JOAN ONOFREY. The combination of visual artists
and performing artists will provide for an artistic dimension
unique to SAPAS.
Performances will
be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 79 Denton Road, Wellesley,
MA 02482 and will begin at 7:30 PM Ticket
prices are $20 at the door, $10 for seniors and $5 for students.
Season tickets subscriptions are available for $100 and senior
season tickets for $60.
