The Walker Center for Global Mission: www.walkerctr.org is a place of hospitality enabling all who sojourn here to explore and develop their gifts for mission. We are intergenerational, multicultural, and diverse in our ecumenicity and lifestyle. Here at the Walker Center, about 35 international theological students mingle in vital community with several US seminary students, missionaries, residents, and Walker conference and Bed & Breakfast guests. We also provide shelter for folks needing emergency housing. Recent delegations staying at Walker have come from Ireland, Nicaragua, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Hawaii. Walker also houses leaders and families from other countries who are missionaries to churches in the Boston area. The Walker Center is becoming a "Mission Resource Center" with the goal of empowering local churches, laity, youth and clergy for doing mission work. Our interactive resource center on the ground floor of our main building serves as a clearinghouse for every kind of short-term hands-on mission work opportunity, both local and international. It houses a library, software, videos, curricula, Faith work packages, as well as an international gift shop.
