Stewardship 2012

Part of being a Christian is taking care of what God has given to us and sharing these gifts generously with each other. For many of us, St. Andrew’s is a place where we can not only express our faith in God, but also care, actively and intentionally, for God’s people in our community and throughout the world. Your involvement directly influences how effective St. Andrew’s can be in the special ministries God is calling us to take on. Information about the many opportunities to participate in ministries at St. Andrew’s is included with this letter.

This year we want to encourage you to think more broadly about your vital role at St. Andrew’s. As one of our stewards, please consider how you will support our church. We have enclosed your pledge card for 2012. We hope that you will return it on or before Commitment Sunday, October 23rd, when we will celebrate our stewardship ministries at a festive coffee hour.

As you reflect on your pledge for 2012, please think about how your continued generosity can help us attain our common goal of serving God by serving others. How much you give is a personal decision. We only ask that, if you are able, you consider stepping up your pledge amount so we can continue to expand our vision for Christian ministry here at St. Andrew’s and beyond.

But just as you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us — see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
